Here's What We Offer

Foundation Courses
The foundation courses are built to give you a strong intuitive grasp of finance and to develop a working vocabulary of key concepts and terms. To help you:
- understand how the financial ecosystem works, how financial market participants view businesses and what they expect from it;
- become a strategic user of finance techniques, and a well-informed consumer of financial information;
- communicate more effectively with the key sources of financing: financial institutions, VCs and other investors; and engage effectively with financial stakeholders.

Fin-Knowhow Workshops
After completing the Foundation Course, you’ll be invited to join a Fin-Knowhow Workshop for professionals in roles similar to yours. Each Workshop focuses on a specific domain, such as IP, marketing, law, or entrepreneurship.
Through live interactive online sessions, each Workshop explores how to apply foundational finance concepts to to real-world questions specific to that domain.
In addition to working hands-on, we encourage participants to contribute real, top-of-mind topics to the table - and shape the content to reflect what matters most to them.

Why Fin-Knowhow is Different?
Founded by Oommen Thomas, PhD, an engineer turned financial economist, Fin-Knowhow is built on 25 years of experience at firms like KPMG, Deloitte, and AECOM.
Over his career, Dr. Thomas saw firsthand how financial fluency gave professionals a competitive edge—and how its absence held back even the most accomplished.
His experience leading corporate talent development and teaching in business schools told him that traditional executive education programs weren’t the answer. To truly boost a professional’s impact, the learning had to be focused on domain-specific applications. And, prioritize intuition and conceptual understanding over technical detail and math.
Dr. Thomas founded Fin-Knowhow to bridge that gap, drawing on his hands-on experience with professionals like you and his work teaching finance to non-finance majors. The result: a program tailored specifically to the applied finance learning needs of executives, professional service providers, and entrepreneurs.

The course was very intellectually stimulating and an interesting subject to learn about - it has implications across a wide variety of circumstances.

Since finance is full of math and numbers, I didn’t think the course would hold my attention but Prof. Thomas made it interesting to learn.

Professor [Thomas] was amazing at teaching the basics of the concepts, but also diving deeper, when needed.

You will learn a lot from Professor Thomas, and he is an amazing teacher, so if you get a chance to take his class, I would strongly suggest doing so!
